The Coniston Round in England known for its rugged mountains is a difficult 10.6-kilometer loop trail located near Coniston, UK. Start at Walna Scar Road and make your way up to Goat's Water where you have the opportunity to see a majestic lake surrounded by large mountains. Keep climbing uphill until you have reached the towering cliffs of Dow Crag and then make your way up to the famous peak of the Old Man of Coniston. From the summit, there are excellent views of the surrounding hills and the Coniston river. Elevation Gain: 741 m.

While heading downhill from the Old Man of Coniston, make sure to check out the old copper mines that date back to the 1500s located in the lake district. The best time to visit the Coniston Round is during the summer months. Due to higher elevation gain, the summit peak can be quite windy hikers should dress appropriately for windy conditions.

Coniston Park Coppice Caravan Club Site offers places where people can camp or rent out a Camping Pod. There’s also Hoathwaite Campsite where visitors can choose from glamping tents to yurts.
